Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience working with cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Familiarity with data governance and management policies
- Experience with business requirements gathering for data sourcing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
- Have experience working with Google Cloud infrastructure and Salesforce
- Experience working with DevOps and MLOps technologies

What the job involves
- As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be a key player in our Data team within Technology, reporting directly to the Head of Data
- Manage the Google Cloud Platform: Airflow, BigQuery, PySpark and Infrastructure as a Code (preferably Pulumi)
- Developing Scalable Data Pipelines: Design, build, and continuously improve data pipelines and structured datasets to support analysis by data analysts and BI developers
- Organizational Data Infrastructure: Design, document and build the organizational data infrastructure and architecture, contributing to the overall data governance and management policies
- Data Analysis and Organization: Analyze and organize raw data from all core enterprise systems (Salesforce, ERP, HR etc.), meta data from unstructured data sources (Google Drive, PowerBI etc.) and external data sources (carbon registries, emission factors, external carbon credit data etc.)
- Enhancing Data Quality: Explore and implement strategies to enhance data quality and reliability. Including ongoing monitoring and maintenance, ensuring that as a business we are adopting best practices
- Collaboration: Work closely with BI developers, software engineers, and the DevOps team to support the generation of scalable and repeatable insights from data
- Enthusiasm for working in a rapidly expanding global company in the sustainability sector
