Who you are
- Sales Expertise: You are an established Business Development Manager with 5+ years of experience and a strong B2B sales record

What the job involves
- You will play a key role in Abatable’s growth, helping climate-conscious organisations to effectively navigate, access, and finance high-integrity climate solutions, thereby fostering enduring positive effects on the environment and society at large
- You will become an expert on the Abatable platform covering our sourcing, market intelligence and advisory services, helping to identify new business opportunities and driving them to closure
- Your core focus will be driving new commercial opportunities and owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, in order to consistently achieve or exceed your sales targets
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential corporate clients with VCM needs through targeted outreach event participation, responding to inbound enquiries and leveraging your own network
- Client Relationship Building: Build trusted partnerships with sustainability and procurement leaders, understanding their goals and challenges
- Solution Design: Collaborate cross-functionally to develop tailored proposals that align with client strategies
- Sales Process Ownership: Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to contract signature, including commercial negotiation and coordination with legal
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate deal tracking in HubSpot and support forecasting and reporting across both transactional and recurring revenue streams
- Market Insight Sharing: Act as the voice of the customer, sharing client insights and market trends back into Abatable’s strategy, product roadmap, and marketing efforts

Abatable helps companies offset hard-to-abate emissions through diversified portfolios of trusted carbon offsets which it sources, evaluates and finances. This is done by recommending companies the right offsetting portfolio bundle based on budget, impact, and location preferences.
Abatable was founded in 2021 and is backed by Global Founders Capital and Y Combinator. Its founding team has a strong founder-product fit to tackle this urgent problem, with one co-founder previously working as VP at Goldman Sachs, advising large corporates and institutional investors on nature-based carbon removal and impact investment portfolios.
Abatable has seen significant growth, expanding its platform to include a high-quality carbon offset marketplace, as well as making a strategic acquisition in the nature-based carbon credit company Ecosphere+. Its experience and focus on minimising risk whilst maximising impact gives the company an edge over other companies starting to crowd the sector.
