Quality Engineer, 1X

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in electromechanical hardware testing in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with PCBA testing, IMU calibration, actuator and sensor validation, or end-of-line system testing
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Gage R&R, and statistical data analysis
• Experience working with test hardware (e.g., power supplies, CAN tools, actuators) in production environments
• Self-starter with strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in technical documentation and cross-functional communication

• We are hiring a Robotics Quality Engineer to join our new Hayward manufacturing facility
• This individual will develop and execute quality control strategies to ensure the performance, safety, and manufacturability of our humanoid robots
• You will be responsible for analyzing test data, improving test processes, collaborating with design and test engineering teams, and implementing scalable quality systems from subcomponents to full robot assemblies
• Develop end-to-end quality strategies for robot manufacturing, from subassemblies to full systems
• Conduct PFMEA to identify failure modes and enhance test coverage and process robustness
• Work with test and firmware engineers to integrate quality checks into manufacturing workflows
• Analyze test data to monitor station yields and identify root causes of failures
• Collaborate with design teams to implement quality improvements at both component and system levels
• Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish optimized pass/fail limits and improve test accuracy
• Evaluate test station performance and scalability across different production sites
• Document quality plans, testing procedures, and data-driven corrective actions
