Who you are
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Executive to join our growing team
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years in access control B2B sales and a proven track record of exceeding targets
- Sales Performance: Consistently met or exceeded quotas; President’s Club membership is a plus
- Sales Expertise: Skilled in complex, multi-month sales cycles, renewals, and value-driven business cases
- Executive Engagement: Success in selling to VP and C-level executives in mid-market and enterprise
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong negotiation, presentation, and deal-closing abilities; expertise in industry trends and building key relationships
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Salesforce, GSuite
- Travel: Ability to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences
What the job involves
- In this critical role, you will be responsible to directly drive top-line revenue growth by acquiring new customers and developing strategies to penetrate top tier accounts
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the assigned territory or vertical
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with mid-market and enterprise clients, including VP and C-level executives, to identify and address their business needs
- Complex Sales: Manage long, value-driven sales cycles, including renewals, with a focus on creating detailed business cases that showcase ROI
- Account Management: Create and implement effective territory and account plans, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, to deliver exceptional client outcomes
- Industry Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges to provide relevant insights and solutions
- Reporting & Tools: Utilize sales tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach to manage pipelines, track performance, and provide accurate forecasts
- Travel: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and on-site customer meetings as needed

Our take
Latch specializes in keyless entry security systems enabling property owners to operate every door to their properties from a smartphone. In addition to its core business, the company also provides software that enables the remote monitoring and operation of services inside a building, like lighting, heating and air conditioning.
The business saw rapid growth across the US, as it has partnered with some of the largest real estate developers and property managers in the country, like Alliance and AMLI. Today, one in ten new apartments in the US are built using Latch's technology. The company has also announced its expansion into commercial office space with the launch of LatchOS for offices.
Latch went public in 2021 at a valuation of about $1.5 billion, but has since suffered setbacks due to its rapid growth just before a market downturn, which affected both the tech and property sectors where Latch operates. Having conducted a large-scale restructuring in response and refreshing of its leadership, the company is now aiming for profitability and cautious growth instead of rapid expansion.
