New grad or early-career engineer (0–2 years) with strong full-stack fundamentals
Comfortable using AI coding tools and eager to push the limits of what they can do

What the job involves

As an early engineer on Orb's core product team, you'll help build the technical foundations of a critical product that needs to be reliable and accurate at scale. You'll work closely with our customers to understand pain points in their business processes and help incorporate those insights into our product roadmap. Our customers rely on Orb to transform an inherently complex domain (billing, from data ingestion to subscription management and revenue recognition) into an efficient, powerful, and easy-to-use experience
You'll be expected to ship real work fast, using AI coding tools as a force multiplier from day one
Own your changes end-to-end across the full stack, ensuring value is delivered to customers before considering a feature shipped
Use AI tools (Claude Code, Graphite, etc.) as a core part of your workflow to design, build, and iterate quickly
Learn from and contribute to a highly skilled team
Collaborate cross-functionally (PM, design, sales, customer success) to shape strategy and deliver value

Our take

Orb founders Morales and Grover worked together as engineering leaders at Asana for five years, and during their time at the company they witnessed a plethora of changes to pricing and packing. The major changes were a burden not only for the financing team, but for the engineers themselves.

Realising they wanted more flexibility over how software-as-a-service (SaaS) products are billed and monetised, the pair developed Orb. It's a cloud-based software platform helping businesses create and manage pricing models, with a specific focus on helping businesses that are seeking flexible pricing options for their customers, such as subscription-based services or pay-as-you-go models.

Orb is backed by a number of investment organisations as well as founders and executives at the forefront of enterprise software. It expanded its team in 2023 and, in 2024, enjoyed $24 million in funding to accelerate its mission. It's now well-equipped to fulfil its vision of leveraging software so companies can be at their most effective.
