Who you are
- We are seeking an HR professional with a passion for growth and results to help us scale our organizational capabilities and optimize our workplace environment
- You have extensive experience as an HR business partner or generalist, ideally at a startup or tech company.
- You’re a go-getter, and comfortable working autonomously and proactively in an environment with lots of unknowns and ambiguity. You are capable of applying your skills across a variety of use cases
- We believe in processes and the power of planning, but you will often have to roll with the punches and prioritize the most impactful tasks on the fly
- You have a high attention to detail which allows you to identify gaps and missing pieces to minimize opportunities for oversight

- You are a creative problem solver and find organizational and scaling challenges interesting
- You have strong influencing and communication skills and a knack for building trust and strong relationships

- As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will be at the heart of our mission, driving People & Culture initiatives that empower our team to excel
- In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you will collaborate with a talented team, support our diverse and global workforce, and contribute to pioneering new territories in the blockchain and entertainment sectors
- We’re 150+ employees across 2 companies - and you’ll be at the forefront of building the foundations for organizational scale
- You’ll champion all People & Culture initiatives
- You’ll establish yourself as a People & Culture point person across the organization by building relationships with key stakeholders
- You’ll partner with team members and managers on key people issues and initiatives (performance management, team relations, engagement, retention, benefits and compensation, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS management, and more)
- You’ll partner with leadership on all HR matters
- You’ll participate in developing best in class organizational guidelines and procedures for an innovative, fast paced, and evolving organization
- You’ll keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices, bringing them back to the team so we can experiment with them together
- You’ll lead OKR projects and initiatives from start to finish
Our take
Dapper Labs is a leader in the digital collectables space, best known for NBA Top Shot, a platform where fans can own and trade licensed basketball highlights as NFTs. By combining blockchain technology with fan engagement, Dapper Labs has transformed digital collecting.
The company recently faced a lawsuit claiming its NFTs were unregistered securities, leading to a nearly three-year legal battle. Dapper Labs reached a $4M settlement and agreed to implement compliance measures like employee training and faster payment processes. Despite the challenges, CEO Roham Gharegozlou views the settlement as a step toward regulatory clarity, ensuring continued innovation.
Despite this, the company is set to launch Disney Pinnacle, a digital pin-collecting platform featuring characters from Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars. The new platform will allow fans to collect and trade digital pins on their phones, expanding the company's reach into beloved franchises. With this project, Dapper Labs continues to push the boundaries of fan engagement, cementing its position as a leader in the evolving NFT space.
