Role
Who you are
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience, with a background in investment banking, consulting, or investing
- Analytical Rigor: A very strong base of financial and analytical skills, including significant experience in Excel
- Grit: Willingness to roll up your sleeves to do things that don’t scale, and help us proactively find solutions that do scale
- Executive Communication: The ability to distill complex models and datasets into concise charts and bullet-point takeaways for executives
- Detail-Orientation: You must be willing to 'own the numbers' and develop internal credibility as a source of truth for commercial reporting

What the job involves
- The Finance & Strategy team is an integral thought partner to Abridge’s cross-functional leadership
- The team brings a combination of financial rigor, strategic insight and creative thinking to help move our key metrics
- As part of this team, the Go-To-Market Finance & Strategy function works specifically to shape the company’s priorities and investments within our commercial organization to improve the durability of our long-term performance
- You’ll join a growing Finance & Strategy team, acting as a crucial link between Finance leaders and partners in the commercial organization
- You will be expected to deeply understand our revenue engine & topline metrics, generate insights, and provide rigor to financial decisions. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Owning Commercial Metrics: You will own the definition, tracking, and analysis of our commercial metrics, ensuring these KPIs are effectively laddering up to company-wide goals
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to leaders in the commercial organization. You will be the connective tissue to facilitate alignment between our GTM engine and broader strategy
- Insight Generation: Distill complex data into clear outputs for executives to drive decision-making, including pipeline analysis, revenue forecasting, and pricing
- Strategic Partnership with Finance Leadership: Work on a number of strategic areas alongside the Finance Leaders, including board & investor presentations, market landscape mapping, and preparing executive reporting
- Automation through AI: Help the finance team and broader organization leverage AI in every part of our jobs, from reporting, to insight generation, and cross-functional partnership
Our take
Summarising key elements of healthcare conversations is crucial for both physicians and patients. Medical scribes, though effective, are costly, and the healthcare system faces funding and staffing crises. This has created a demand for more efficient notetaking solutions.
This is where Abridge comes in; it has developed a HIPAA-compliant AI platform that transcribes, structures, summarises, and provides insights from audio or transcripts of medical conversations. It claims to work across all specialities and offers patient-friendly summaries in easy-to-understand language.
Abridge aims to alleviate pressure on the healthcare system from the patient's perspective, a unique approach among healthtech startups. While companies like Inovia, DOUB, and DeepScribe focus on assisting physicians with medical transcription AI, they lack Abridge's patient-centric features, which are valuable in enhancing the patient experience. Its unique focus, then, is part of the reason why it enjoyed two impressive rounds of funding in 2025 alone.
