Who you are

We’re looking for a senior backend engineer (5+ years of experience) who combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset. You enjoy solving complex problems, making smart architectural choices, and helping others grow
Technical excellence in:
Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot
Node.js, Docker, Python
Cloud-native architecture on AWS, including ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora
CI/CD pipelines (CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, CDK/Terraform)
OAuth2 / Authentication flows
Event-driven systems with Kafka
Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform)
Monitoring & Observability (New Relic, Splunk)
Engineering mindset:
Strong knowledge of clean code, design patterns, and domain-driven design
Experience evolving and refactoring legacy systems
A passion for writing tests at all levels (unit, integration, e2e)
A desire to mentor, lead discussions, and shape best practices

Desirable

Familiarity with tools like Contentful, Jira, Slack, Confluence, GitHub
DevOps awareness and a collaborative mindset for CI/CD and release cycles

What the job involves

Join the My Porsche Events Team — a cross-functional, autonomous product team with full ownership over its lifecycle
We’re building the customer-facing backend for exclusive Porsche events — from discovery and ticketing to rich, personalized experiences
You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship features that matter
As a senior engineer, you'll be empowered to influence architecture, drive technical decisions, and mentor teammates
This role also offers a clear path toward technical leadership, with the potential to grow into a Tech Lead position — supporting the team in decision-making, quality, and cross-team collaboration
You’ll also contribute to shaping our engineering culture and how we work across the broader Porsche Digital organization

The automobile industry has long since been dominated by vehicles powered by petrol or diesel with no bells and whistles, but as technological innovation changes the rest of the world, the automobile industry has been similarly affected. Electric cars are becoming commonplace, charging points are becoming increasingly common and the way we purchase and interact with our cars is becoming digital, and it is important for car producers to recognise this and future-proof their brand.

Porsche Digital provides a digital innovation studio for Porsche automobiles, working to future-proof the brand with technology for environmental sustainability, sales optimisation, electric vehicle charging, and VR experiences. In addition to innovating on Porsche cars, the studio also provides advanced industry solutions for IoT, blockchain, AI, and quantum computing, inviting brands outside of Porsche to future-proof their brand.

Whilst digital innovation studios are nothing new, the automobile industry is developing rapidly and older sports car brands are being replaced with newer brands, so Porsche Digital has been smart to find its niche in Porsche vehicle innovation. Through its studio, the company aims to future-proof the Porsche brand for the future of automobiles, whilst ensuring that customer experiences become more interactive and engaging than ever before.
