Business Development Manager, Welcome to the Jungle (formerly Otta)

• You have experience in an outbound B2B sales role or similar, though it’s not essential - a proactive and driven attitude matters more. Experience could also be through internships or work experience.

Desirable

• You will work closely with Maisy, our BD Lead and Steph, our Head of Sales to continue the momentum of our Business Development function. This is a great opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn
• You will use our unique insights and data to identify and generate potential leads or prospects for the sales team. This is an outbound role - you will research and identify potential clients for our Mid-Market segment in the EMEA market, qualifying leads through thoughtful and personalised outreach.
• Represent Welcome to the Jungle’s value proposition passionately and clearly to prospects
• Collaborate closely with Account Executives to book high-quality meetings with senior decision-makers
• You will qualify inbound leads to understand if they are a good fit for WttJ, and ensuring a smooth handover to the Account Executives. Your job will be to provide context about the prospect's needs, challenges, and interactions, enabling the sales team to tailor their approach effectively
• Use a multi-channel approach, including email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and video, to engage prospects effectively. Demonstrate creativity and adaptability in crafting outreach strategies that stand out.
• We want you to share the feedback prospects give you during your conversations with our Marketing and Product teams, so that we can refine messaging, improve targeting, and enhance product offerings
• Track your progress and keep detailed records of activities in Hubspot & Apollo
• You’ll use and maintain tools including: Hubspot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, G-Suite, Slack
• Develop skills to prepare for promotion to closing or other positions within the WttJ team.
