Hume AI is seeking an experienced product designer to join our team and help design the future of AI interfaces
Interest in imagining the future of AI interfaces
2+ years of relevant design experience
Expertise in cross-platform applications and interactive experiences
Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools)
Familiarity with frontend libraries such as React

What the job involves

You will help craft a cross-platform consumer interface for our model, an AI voice that is superhumanly helpful, interesting, funny, and empathic
Define a visual product and user experience
Create compelling user flows and visual designs
Work closely with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to craft a simple, cross-platform application that enhances users’ daily lives
Join us in the heart of New York City and contribute to our endeavor to ensure that AI is guided by human values, the most pivotal challenge (and opportunity) of the 21st century

Our take

Hume AI was founded by a researcher in semantic space theory - a data-driven, computational approach to emotional science that has been pivotal in the development of artificial intelligence.

The company has developed products that help AI become more emotionally intelligent, effectively fine-tuning everything from digital assistants to online creative tools to respond appropriately to human emotion. To do this, it uses complex measurements to analyse vocal timbre, pitch and facial expressions.
