Who you are
- A strong track record of building and scaling successful consumer brands—ideally in high-growth DTC, lifestyle, or healthcare businesses
- A deep belief in the power of brand and community to transform behaviour and drive growth
- Hands-on experience leading brand activations across PR, content, creative, community, and communications
- Strategic thinking paired with creative problem-solving—able to connect the big picture with actionable plans
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; comfortable engaging across all levels, including the board
- Proven ability to hire, grow, and inspire high-performing teams

- In this role, you'll own the development and execution of our brand strategy—defining how MANUAL shows up in the world across every channel, product, and touchpoint

- Lead Brand Vision & Strategy: Define and evolve MANUAL'S brand vision, positioning, and identity to ensure consistency, character, and impact across all touchpoints
- Shape the Brand Experience: Own how MANUAL looks, sounds, and feels across every customer interaction—from product and packaging to content, communications, and service
- Marketing Communications: Develop and implement a communications strategy that brings our brand and products to life in compelling and authentic ways across channels
- PR & Storytelling: Build an always-on PR engine that communicates Manual’s mission, values, and impact - making us a leading voice in health and wellness
- Community Building: Cultivate a thriving health and wellbeing community that helps people improve their health outcomes and connect with others on the same journey
- Brand Health & Measurement: Establish and track key brand health metrics, using insights to inform strategy and improve performance
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a growing team. Create a culture of ownership, creativity, and continuous learning
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Commercial, and People teams to ensure brand is embedded in everything we build—from product launches to employer brand

MANUAL is a digital healthcare clinic supporting patients with life-changing conditions such as hormonal imbalance, obesity, menopause and hair loss across the UK and Brazil. It does this with a blend of doctor-specialist services, prescription medication backed by science, and digital products informed by behavioural change.
Manual works to remove the stigma around health problems such as obesity, hormone imbalances and menopause through teleconsultations, testing, regular check-ins and a range of tools, supplements and medications to treat common issues like poor sleep, hair loss, erectile dysfunction and skin conditions. Originally focused solely on men's health, the service led a shift in attitudes among its customers, with about half the men using the service to treat more than one condition, indicating that they're not just seeking help for the worst health issue that they're experiencing. Since, then it has opened its services to all genders with a hope to sift attitudes on a wider variety of health issues.
Manual has raised an impressive amount of capital, most recently in 2024. This funding is being used to expand its reach and enhance its services, particularly focussing on treatments for hormonal imbalance, obesity, and hair loss.
