Who you are
- This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively via phone and email with internal and external stakeholders
- 1-3 years Accounts Payable experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with AP software (e.g., Tipalti, NetSuite, or similar platforms) preferred
- Prior experience in a tech industry or startup environment is a plus
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join Electric
- In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining records, and assisting with routine accounting tasks
- You will also support internal teams and vendors by addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Support the accounts payable (Procure to Pay) process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist with vendor setup, ensuring accurate payment details and compliance documentation
- Research and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies, working closely with vendors and internal teams
- Ensure all invoices and expenses are properly coded and approved before payment processing
- Assist in maintaining expense platforms, including Tipalti (AP cycle) and Navan (expense management)
- Reconcile AP-related accounts and assist with month-end close activities
- Maintain vendor records, including contract tracking and W-9 compliance
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support process improvements and ensure smooth AP operations
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed to improve AP efficiency
- Standard Working Hours: 9:00AM-6:00PM
