Role
Who you are
- You have 4+ years’ experience in operations, RevOps, systems, or similar roles in a scaling business
- You have strong hands-on experience with a CRM system (HubSpot preferred or equivalent)
- You are comfortable owning and building systems end-to-end (not just maintaining them)
- You can translate business strategy into practical workflows, systems, and processes
- You have strong systems thinking - you design scalable solutions, not quick fixes
- You are highly autonomous and able to take ownership from ambiguous problem to clear outcome
- You have strong data literacy and attention to detail (comfortable working with reports, dashboards, and data QA)
- You can manage multiple projects/workstreams and drive them through to completion
- You are a clear communicator who can work cross-functionally with leadership, sales, marketing, and CX
- You are hands-on and execution-focused - happy building, not just planning
- You are motivated by improving efficiency, reducing manual work, and scaling operations
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
Desirable
- You have experience with no/low-code tools (e.g. Make, Zapier, Airtable)
- You have exposure to RevOps, data infrastructure, or analytics functions
- You have worked with APIs, integrations, or basic scripting
- You have experience building or managing a “single source of truth” data environment
- You have experience in a regulated industry or working with sensitive customer data
- You are familiar with tools like ClickUp (or similar project management tools)
- You have supported product launches or built customer journey workflows
- You have experience improving data governance, tracking, and reporting frameworks
- You’ve worked closely with commercial teams (Sales/Marketing) to improve performance systems
- You enjoy challenging inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement
- You have a bias for action and enjoy solving messy, real-world operational problems
- You are naturally curious about systems, automation, and how businesses scale
What the job involves
- Own and evolve HubSpot (CRM, workflows, pipelines, reporting)
- Design and improve systems architecture across Ops, Sales, Marketing, and CX
- Build and maintain a single source of truth for operational and commercial data
- Translate company strategy into scalable systems, workflows, and processes
- Identify bottlenecks and design solutions to scale without adding headcount
- Define clear ownership, workflows, and internal SLAs across teams
- Develop dashboards and reporting to support leadership decision-making
- Improve data quality, governance, and consistency across systems
- Identify and eliminate manual processes through automation
- Build scalable, repeatable tools and workflows across the business
- Own delivery of key operational projects from idea through to rollout
- Act as the go-to person for operationalising new initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, CX, Product, and Leadership
- Improve customer journeys, conversion funnels, and internal processes
- Challenge inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
- Help build a high-performance, systems-driven organisation
Our take
In the past, the majority of people have not prepared for death. However, in recent years, an increasing number of people are talking and planning for it as one of life’s key events. Funerals shifting towards meaningful celebration of life parties is a prime example of this.
Aura is an online platform where people facing end of life can leave an online legacy for their loved ones. It was founded in 2017 by Paul Jameson after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, but wanted to embrace life, plan ahead and leave his family in the best position possible.
Since then, it has helped thousands of people tackle their hardships and is now run by Jameson’s family. The company has grown to offer celebration of life funeral planning, end-of-life support and the Aura Circle (a digital community of 30k people). With an important mission, Aura has great potential to build a significant business that impacts lots of people, and has attracted several rounds of angel investment to help it on its way.
