Who you are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
- 1+ years of proven experience in a graphic designer's role, preferably in the food delivery or e-commerce sector
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Work closely with marketing and content teams to ensure cohesive and consistent branding across all visual elements
- Actively contribute with creative ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Understanding layout principles and typography
- A meticulous eye for detail! Required to avoid inconsistencies, typos, or inaccuracies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in English is a must
What the job involves
- As we continue to expand our reach and offering, we are seeking a Working Student in Graphic Design to drive our growth strategies and enhance our market presence
- Create Visual Assets Across Digital Touchpoints: Generate visually compelling designs for various digital channels including emails, paid performance channels, organic social channels, and e-commerce platforms, ensuring consistency and brand alignment
- Project Ownership and Execution: Take ownership of design projects from ideation to execution, producing concepts and final designs while collaborating with a small team or working independently as required
- Adherence to Brand Guidelines: Utilize agreed brand guidelines to deliver assets to a high standard, maintaining consistency and integrity across all visual materials
- Collaboration with Senior Graphic Designer: Support the existing Graphic Designer on ad hoc projects such as event and store artwork, look books, and packaging, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring project success
- Creating Brand Collateral for Social Media: Develop concepts and materials for brand collateral on social media platforms, contributing to the creation of engaging content that resonates with target audiences
Our take
On the surface Milano Vice seems to be a pizza franchise, but something interesting happens if you look for where its kitchens are - its site cryptically says that they are "cooler on the internet" and only available digitally. Dig a little deeper and you find that there is no kitchen: Milano Vice is a sophisticated technological operation utilising spare capacity in its network of partner restaurants to deliver pizzas to hungry customers under its virtual brand.
Though it is still early days for the 2021-founded company, its pilot program was wildly successful, tripling sales with many of the partner restaurants. Its success so far lies in how precisely it is targeting Millennial and Gen Z consumers with its product and marketing, and in the strength of its process optimisation to increase margins for its partner restaurants.
Milano Vice has raised impressive funds in an early venture capital round, which it is using to expand its partnership program and scale its talent pool in all areas of the business. Having achieved remarkable growth in Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg already, it certainly seems set to achieve its long term goal of becoming the dominant virtual food provider in Europe.
