Who you are

Experience in Customer Service or Account Management
Full written and verbal proficiency in German and English to communicate with users and partners
Someone based in Toronto with availability to work Monday to Friday, with the weekend off
A first-class and inspiring communicator, who is able to draw on those skills to set the bar high
Experience working with CRMs like Zendesk, Salesforce, Hubspot or SAP
A team player who loves helping others, building positive relationships and resolving conflicts with our users and partners
Detail-oriented individuals who are able to stay focused through repetitive tasks
Previous experience working in a marketplace, a big platform, or the Food Industry is a bonus

What the job involves

Reporting directly to the Customer Experience Team Lead, you will be the face for our users and partners and turn them into ambassadors by providing efficient and friendly customer care. You’ll inspire and empower them to take action against food waste and to become part of the movement
Being the main point of contact for our users and partners ensuring they receive outstanding customer service by answering inquiries through email, chat and phone
Answering all questions through some of our Social Media tools (Facebook, App Store, Play Store and Google Reviews)
Handle priority situations with high care, as well as contact users and stores proactively when necessary
Help build and implement processes to encourage, inspire and empower our partners and consumers to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle, using Too Good To Go
Being a brand ambassador in all your communications with our customers as you encourage, inspire, and empower our customers towards more sustainable behaviour
Understand and communicate our customers' needs and motivations to our internal teams locally and globally

The application process consists of a short video call with Talent Acquisition, followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager and a case study

Our take

With more than one-third of food wasted in shops and restaurants, tonnes of otherwise quality goods are unnecessarily lost. Too Good To Go connects customers to restaurants and stores that have unsold, surplus food, offering steep discounts. Through this, businesses can sell surplus meals that would've otherwise gone to waste, and the environment wins as no food is wasted.

The company has certainly found its niche with sustainability-conscious consumers (a group that is growing in size as environmentally-focused consumers get more spending power). Too Good To Go's app has over 90M users across 18 countries and 215,000+ partners including retailers, hotels and restaurants such as ALDI, Carrefour, Accor and YO! Sushi.

The company is also creating a food waste movement website intended to be an informative source of knowledge regarding the issue. This is part of a wider strategy at raising awareness of the food waste problem, to get more users on board and further help the planet. A 200 million euro fund raise is allegedly in the works for 2025, which would push the platform to unicorn status.
