Who you are
- This role is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in accounting (education or 0–2 years of experience) who is passionate about process innovation and excited to leverage the best technology stack to automate and streamline our month-end close
- 0–2 years of accounting experience or equivalent academic foundation in accounting/finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting basics
- Interest in process innovation and automation, with a desire to work on modern accounting tech stacks
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities during close cycles
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from and contribute to a growing finance team

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is eager to go beyond traditional accounting tasks
- You’ll play a key role in supporting the monthly close, building out the controllership function, and contributing to broader initiatives across the finance and accounting team
- Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
- Collaborate on process improvements to automate and optimize close activities using modern accounting tools
- Assist in building out the controllership function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
- Partner with finance leadership to implement best practices in accounting and reporting
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance efficiency and strengthen financial operations
- Engage with cutting-edge technology to modernize workflows and reduce manual effort

Flex, formerly known as Flexbase, supplies credit and finance management tools for small and midsize business (SMBs). At the core of its offering is a credit card, with a complimentary platform that collects all finance operations into one easy-to-manage app.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of Flex's approach is the credit card itself, which comes with 0% interest for 60 days. Through this, businesses can enhance their cash flow and be more flexible in investing in growth. Besides this, users can also issue virtual employee cards at no extra cost, and use functions such as receipt capture and free ach/wire payments.
Having steadily grown its offering over the years, Flex has raised significant funding to expand its business and accelerate growth. Demand for its solutions has expanded beyond its initial focus on the construction industry to target clients across logistics, e-commerce, real estate and other sectors. After raising $85 million over two rounds in 2025, Flex has launched a Google Pay partnership and the Visa Infinite Business Credit Card, with enhanced benefits for business owners.
