Senior Linux / Systems Administrator, CENTURY Tech

• 7 + years deep in Linux internals—systemd, cgroups v2, kernels, storage and networking.
• Production responsibility for at least two of: Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, high-availability Kubernetes.
• Advanced Ansible skills: modular, idempotent roles, dynamic inventory, CI-driven execution.
• Solid networking knowledge: VLANs, BGP fundamentals, WireGuard/IPsec VPNs and packet-level troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python for automation and tooling
• Proven experience with backups, disaster recovery and incident response

Desirable

• Maintain ~90 Linux servers (Ubuntu 22.04 and openSUSE MicroOS) for stability, security and performance
• Automate provisioning and patch management with Ansible; create and maintain standard images
• Optimise kernels, filesystems and IRQ handling to maximise throughput for Cassandra, Kafka and PostgreSQL
• Implement, verify and document backup, restore and disaster-recovery procedures using S3 object storage
• Detect and resolve network (bonding, WireGuard overlays) and storage performance issues
• Work with DevOps engineers to keep Terraform infrastructure-as-code consistent with live configurations
• Produce and maintain runbooks, monitoring dashboards and operational documentation
