Who you are
- Bring Experience and Creativity: You’ve worked in dynamic environments, like Deliveroo or Stuart, where you expanded into new markets and pushed boundaries. Experimenting and learning are a part of succeeding in this role
- Know the Tools of the Trade: From influencer partnerships to Google ads, you’re well-versed in modern marketing strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. You’re well versed in tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, SEMrush or equivalent
- Focus on Data-Driven Decisions: You’re fluent in interpreting marketing metrics and passionate about improving performance through insights

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to lead Relay’s courier acquisition strategy and drive scalable, sustainable growth of the courier fleet
- You’ll shape how we position Relay to new audiences, ensuring every campaign, ad, and initiative aligns with our mission
- This is a unique opportunity to take on a generalist marketing role, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution to expand Relay’s impact in new and existing markets
- Expand into New Markets: Leverage insights and creativity to introduce Relay to untapped geographies, tailoring strategies to local contexts and building a scalable approach to expansion
- Refine our value proposition: Develop a deep understanding of our value proposition and target audience for each vehicle type and across different geographies. Ensure Relay’s messaging resonates and drives engagement
- Own and Optimize CPA: Monitor cost per acquisition metrics closely, finding innovative ways to lower costs while improving conversion rates. From building landing pages to A/B testing ad creatives, you’ll have the full freedom to experiment and deliver
- Drive Top-of-Funnel Growth: Set ambitious acquisition targets and work with the funnel team to meet supply needs across regions, including hyperlocal campaigns where necessary
- Integrate Paid and Unpaid Channels: Build a cohesive strategy blending influencer marketing, referrals, socials, paid ads, and organic growth
- Automate and Improve Processes: Streamline workflows and experiment with scalable approaches to simplify marketing operations

In recent years, e-commerce has grown considerably. Despite this, the retail sector is still in the early innings of digital disruption in the US and the UK (especially when compared to more digitally mature markets such as China).
Relay enables e-commerce through re-wiring the critical delivery infrastructure to address the growth of e-commerce in the UK. Not only do they enable orders of magnitude better delivery in speed and cost for retailers and consumers, but they are also doubling down on making sure their ecosystem of delivery drivers and the planet benefit.
