Who you are
- 8–12+ years in Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Deep experience in B2B SaaS + AI, ideally with enterprise clients in finance, consulting, or legal
- Ability to manage and scale a team in a fast-paced, technical, and high-stakes environment
- Strong understanding of the AI/ML landscape, LLMs, and natural language technologies a big plus
- Exceptional communication skills, especially in translating technical capabilities into business value
- Comfortable interfacing with C-level stakeholders, engineers, and end-users alike

What the job involves
- We’re seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Solutions Engineering to lead and scale our pre-sales engineering function. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between product capabilities and customer needs, ensuring prospects and clients fully understand the impact and implementation of Hebbia’s AI platform
- You will lead and build a team of solution engineers, working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to win complex deals and deploy tailored, scalable solutions for top-tier enterprises
- Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers
- Pre-Sales Strategy: Own the technical sales strategy, including discovery, solution design, POCs, demos, and RFP responses
- Client Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to prospective and current clients; communicate the business and technical value of Hebbia’s products
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering to provide feedback from the field and shape roadmap priorities
- Sales Enablement: Develop and scale repeatable technical sales playbooks, assets, and onboarding materials
- Enterprise Expertise: Navigate complex procurement, security, and deployment discussions with large financial and legal institutions
Our take
Founded in 2020, Hebbia is an AI-powered search engine that processes complex requests through the use of deep learning techniques and models that aid in knowledge graph work, semantic analysis, and AI.
The first product the company produced was a Chrome plugin that upgrades the search function to reach beyond traditional text pattern matching, and instead begins to comprehend the query and how answers might be given on the page.
Raising funding from Peter Thiel, Index Ventures, Jerry Yang (Yahoo founder), and Ram Sriram (one of the first Google investors) to name a few, capital has been put towards building the engineering team and accelerating the development of products on the platform, as well as expanding its customer base into that of the professional services industries.
