Who you are
- 7+ years experience in enterprise SaaS or capital markets sales and/or business development
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong interest in technology, capital markets, and trading preferred
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What the job involves
- As a Sales Director, you will drive Talos's future revenue growth by engaging with our prospects, understanding their requirements, and turning them into effective users of the Talos platform
- Successful Sales Directors take an empathetic, systematic and consultative approach to the sales process, investing long term in the client relationship and ensuring it remains on a sustainable growth trajectory
- Execute and continuously optimize our sales strategy combining qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Manage and build a balanced pipeline of strategic accounts and medium-to-large scale contributors to revenue
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for institutional clients
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Deeply engage with the product, its technical components and the offerings of our competitors
- Navigate large-scale, complex organizations while engaging comfortably with senior executives and key decision makers
- Collaborate with Product, Client Success and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy
- Work closely with the Client Success and Business Development teams to ensure client success
Our take
So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.
The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading. That said, because the company is developing an entirely new asset class market, progress is accelerated, and competition may have a chance to overtake.
Promising for Talos was the interest of prominent investors, including PayPal and Fidelity, during their Series A and B funding rounds. The funds were used to create an institutional-grade service that would help shape and spearhead this developing market. More recently, the company has formed several significant partnerships, including with BlackRock, and acquired D3X Systems, the integration of which will enable its clients to design, validate, implement, and manage highly customised portfolios.
