Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in fintech or B2B SaaS environments, with a proven track record of launching successful products
- Strong technical aptitude: Experience collaborating with engineering teams and an understanding of technical systems and architectures to engage in informed discussions and decision-making
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to navigate ambiguity, propose solutions, and make decisions even with limited resources or incomplete information
- Customer-First Mindset: A deep understanding of both borrower and merchant needs, with the ability to translate customer feedback into product enhancements and innovations
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfort with analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify insights, drive product improvements, and define KPIs
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership, able to lead projects end-to-end and influence others to drive successful outcomes
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with B2B products: Experience working on products that involve both merchants and end-users, understanding the nuances of serving two different customer bases

What the job involves
- As we continue to grow and scale our team, we are looking for a Product Manager to help shape and lead the strategy for our borrower and merchant experience products
- Reporting to the Director of Product, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions that reduce friction, drive business value, and enhance both borrower and merchant outcomes
- This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success
- Define product strategy: Lead the development of the product roadmap and vision, focusing on delivering innovative solutions to improve the user experience for both borrowers and merchants
- Product Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products from ideation, design, development, testing, to launch and iteration
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, data science, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to deliver products that meet business objectives, technical requirements, and customer needs
- Drive Business Outcomes: Use data-driven decision-making to prioritize product initiatives that drive measurable business results, increase product adoption, and maximize customer satisfaction
- Data & Metrics-Driven Approach: Define success metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and leverage data to optimize product features and functionality
- Ownership of Product Backlog: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with company objectives and user needs
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps effectively to both internal stakeholders and external partners
Our take
There are more than $9T in B2B payments processed in the U.S. each year, of which small to medium sized enterprises make up roughly $4.5T. Despite this, B2B eCommerce lags far behind B2C in technology advancement, despite being more than twice the market size. In particular, business trade credit is in dire need of modernisation.
Credit Key is a B2B financial services technology company that allows merchants to offer an instant "buy now, pay later" function that is seamlessly integrated at checkout. With a focus on improving customer experience at checkout, Credit Key exists alongside other payment methods but aims to usurp them via two key selling points: On the one hand, it allows buyers to access instant and transparent payment plans, delaying the costs they have to bear up front, and on the other, since Credit Key assumes the credit risk and any loan servicing, it is able to offer the merchant a risk-free transaction.
Credit Key has partnerships with the likes of Olam, optimise.health and HS Wholesale. With a key focus on growth at the moment, Credit Key will be pushing to increase its footprint in the B2B payments market as fast as possible.
This being said, there are some key developments surrounding the "buy now, pay later" model that Credit Key will want to keep a close eye on. In the UK, for example, growing concerns about the capacity of "buy now, pay later" schemes to create large amounts of individual debt have led to greater regulation of their usage in B2C transactions, and though this does not directly affect Credit Key's market, it may be a trend which could affect the company in future.
