Role
Who you are
- You have 2–4 years of sales experience, ideally with experience in consultative selling
- You are outcome-driven, self-motivated and thrive on owning your pipeline from prospecting to closing
- You have experience with CRM tools and use a data-driven approach to manage your funnel
- You are an excellent communicator who connects with people across channels and formats
- A plus, you worked with the public sector before
- You are collaborative by default and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven team
- You are based in Flanders and can regularly join us in our Brussels office
- You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
What the job involves
- Own the full sales cycle, from discovery to demo to close
- Source leads through outbound outreach, referrals, and by being our boots on the ground at public sector events
- Develop a deep understanding of local government challenges and position Go Vocal as a trusted partner
- Tailor your sales approach to public sector needs and decision-making dynamics
- Drive tender processes with support from ops, marketing, and product
- Work together with the global sales team and our local Belgium team to align on strategy
Our take
Founded in 2015 with the purpose of making decision-making more equitable, CitizenLab offers a platform used by local governments to enable them to engage people online and make informed decisions.
What was three clients in 2016 is now numbered at around 400 with the company working with hundreds of local governments and organisations across 18 countries. Recent global events have meant that the government plays an even larger role in people’s lives, hence more citizens are willing to engage in policy-making, creating more demand for its service.
To adapt to the evolving landscape, CitizenLab has embraced change by adopting an open-source approach, thereby lowering the barriers to participation and enhancing transparency. In line with its commitment to facilitating public engagement, CitizenLab has also forged a strategic partnership with Konveio. This collaboration aims to streamline the accessibility and interaction with public documents, including feedback-gathering exercises, and promoting transparency in decision-making processes.
