Who you are

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
Experience leading and shipping large scope DevOps infrastructure projects (i.e., CI/CD, automation, IaC) in collaboration with multiple engineers
Proficiency with cloud-based infrastructure and services (Azure or AWS)
Expertise with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Solid expertise in Python or similar scripting language
Experience with Orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins)
Solid Git/GitHub expertise
Demonstrated ability to design and organize solutions for clarity and simplicity

Desirable

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Splunk, ELK)
Familiarity with virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, AWS)
Experience with Artifact and package management systems (e.g., Artifactory, NuGet)

What the job involves

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Centralized Operations Team (COT)
As a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining our development process, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our infrastructure
Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will join a team of DevOps engineers striving to deliver high quality cloud infrastructure to ensure the ongoing availability of build and test pipelines
Build and enhance a robust and reliable cloud infrastructure platform
Develop and maintain tools for our pipelines to deliver continuous value
Expand observability infrastructure through design and implementation
Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
Propose innovative solutions, balancing system robustness and new ideas
Advocate and promote best practices to fellow engineers
Work both as an individual contributor and a collaborative team member
