Who you are
- 6+ years of marketing experience, with 3+ years of product / solutions marketing experience in cyber security
- Must be familiar with key cyber security, ICT risk management, and cyber resilience needs of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector – particularly key local and global regulatory and compliance requirements. Professional experience of working at organisations in these sectors is preferred
- Experience developing messaging, positioning and delivering sales/partner enablement activities for cyber security products
- Experience of presenting to audiences of all sizes, both internal and external facing
- Strong organizational, prioritization, project management and time management ability with a deadline focus
- Emotional intelligence to navigate ambiguity, take initiative and work collaboratively to deliver insights, provide solutions to challenges and recommendations based on analysis
- Strong right brain, left brain balance — analytical + creative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pro-active and driven to solve problems and find innovative solutions
- A profound sense of ownership and accountability is required
- Strong acumen about new technologies and commercial acumen in the software industry

What the job involves
- In this global role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the go-to-market strategy and execution for Illumio’s products and solutions as they relate to the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) vertical
- You will serve as the subject matter expert for this vertical and be responsible for developing messaging & positioning, use cases, target personas and sales plays that will anchor the go-to-market strategy to grow product adoption, build pipeline and improve customer retention in this key industry
- Every day you will be part of a team responsible for developing positioning and differentiated messaging, defining go to market strategy, launching new solutions and driving thought leadership for the Illumio solutions
- To thrive in this global role, you must understand the BFSI vertical, its key cyber security needs and challenges, and associated local and global compliance / regulatory requirements
- You must also have an appreciation of relevant technology, market drivers, competition, and customer needs
- You will have responsibility of communicating product messaging and value to internal and external audiences, and, of creating compelling offers to generate demand, drive adoption and the overall success of the Illumio product line within the BFSI vertical
- Storytelling - Develop product positioning, value proposition and messaging that aligns Illumio’s offerings to the key needs of the BFSI market
- Sales enablement – Communicate value propositions to sales teams and develop sales materials and tools that support the selling process
- Market intelligence – know the needs of our customers and prospects and be a knowledgeable authority on our competition with the ability to articulate value and differentiate our solutions, especially as these relate to the BFSI vertical
- Demand generation activities - Partner in demand generation activities with Marketing teams to build and execute campaigns that focus on generating pipeline in the BFSI vertical
- Cross-Departmental collaboration – Accomplish the above by having a constant communication flow with internal groups, including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Enablement and the office of the CTO
- Asset development - written collateral, presentations, solution/demo videos, social media activities, trade show sessions

Cybersecurity remains an ongoing battle, with evolving cyberthreats and ever-more determined cybercriminals, and major data breaches such as the SolarWinds hack have the potential to cause widespread disruption. Illumio is taking a different approach to most of the mainstream security companies, with a process called "microsegmentation". This makes it easier to guard companies from security breaches, and contain any breaches that occur.
Detection of viruses is no longer considered sufficient to keep companies and individuals safe. The company operates at the cutting edge of microsegmentation, focusing on protecting cloud datacenters and workloads. With more and more companies moving to the cloud, this approach is crucial.
Illumio also protects endpoints, partnering with big players such as Citrix, Amazon Web Services, and Splunk. A collaboration with Appgate, a Zero Trust secure access company, delivers the industry's first integrated Zero Trust Network Access and Segmentation solution, which can reduce risk across hybrid infrastructure, and proves Illumio's dedication to innovating the space. Additionally, the company announced a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), that is tailored to assist federal agencies in reducing risk.
