- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience building enterprise level web applications
- Object-oriented development experience; building SOLID applications, developed in languages such as; Java, Kotlin, C#, Python or Javascript
- Front-End development experience; creating RESTful Web applications, developed within the React ecosystem
Desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build strong, trust based cross-functional stakeholder working relationships
- Experience with WCAG and accessible UI development
- Experience with Node.JS and/or Jenkins is a plus
- Experience with data analytics; Jupyter Notebook, Wavefront, Tableau, Hive, Spark etc is a plus
What the job involves
- Write and maintain robust, efficient and extensible code using a varied set of languages, frameworks and tools including Xpresso, React, Typescript, GraphQL, NodeJS, Cypress and Jest
- Deliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and in-depth code & design reviews
- Capture & Analyse data to make data driven decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate, prototype, plan and deliver exciting capabilities
- Advocate & champion best practices in both software engineering & agile development
- Build proof of concepts to help shape the future success of our product
- Mentor, coach and learn from peer teammates through workshops, pair programming, code/design reviews and documentation
- Be an excellent teammate, placing the team's collective success as the highest priority
