IT Support Engineer, Datatonic

• The ideal candidate for this role possesses extensive experience as an IT Support Engineer in a medium-sized company, with a focus on working within the Apple MacOS environment
• They have a proven track record of delivering comprehensive IT support and actively contributing to the development and maintenance of our IT infrastructure
• Additionally, the ideal candidate excels in providing clear and user-friendly instructions to assist colleagues in troubleshooting common IT issues
• Bonus points are awarded for hands-on experience with G-Suite, Okta, Salesforce, Slack, Notion, and Jira
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar IT role, with a focus on troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
• Proven experience administering and supporting Apple MacOS in a MDM environment
• Functional knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and/or bash

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our IT and Security team
• As the third hire for this newly forming team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive IT support and contributing to the development and maintenance of our IT infrastructure
• Reporting directly to the Head of IT and Security, you will be at the forefront of building a mature ITSM practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment for our colleagues
• Support Excellence: Provide timely and effective resolution to support tickets, ensuring minimal downtime for our colleagues
• Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with the team to build, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the company
• User Training: Assist in educating and empowering colleagues to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues independently
• Security and Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and assist in implementing measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of company data
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner, assisting colleagues with hardware, software, and basic networking issues, both remotely and in person
• Support various IT Systems including Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Kandji, Jira, Notion, 1Password, Salesforce, Perimeter 81, Falcon Crowdstrike, MacOS, and more
• Provide clear and user-friendly instructions to help colleagues troubleshoot common IT problems
• Collaborate with the team to build and maintain the IT infrastructure
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks and updates
• Contribute to the implementation of IT best practices for efficiency and scalability
• Work closely with team members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues on IT-related matters
