Who you are
- You like to deliver great user experience
- You are user focused – we solve our customer’s problems together; everybody has a say in planning, design & execution
- 3+ years of overall experience
- Front-end experience with React, you should have a solid understanding of how and why it uses a virtual DOM, and you should be familiar with accessibility
- Experience using modern modular CSS strategies e.g styled components, emotion, etc (we use CSS Modules) and why globally scoped styles are bad
- Good understanding of CI/CD, unit testing, and automated end-to-end testing using a framework like Cypress
- Strong knowledge and understanding of functional programming patterns
- Excited by working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Able to occasionally travel to our other offices in UK, New Delhi, and San Francisco
Desirable
- You have proven excellence in writing readable and efficient TypeScript code
- You have experience working with micro-frontends in production
- You are familiar with feature flag tools such as Harness
What the job involves
- We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who loves building great UI that delivers amazing user experience with React/TypeScript tech stack to help us build the next phase of growth for Simpplr
- You will be working closely with other developers in your team and cross-functionally with other stakeholders such as Product Manager, Design, Data Science, and Program Management and take ownership of delivering critical projects to production with speed and quality
- Work in a talented cross-functional team to develop new user-facing features using React/TypeScript on the frontend (and back-end in Node if you want to be involved in some full-stack development)
- Contribute to our shared UI library used by many engineering teams across the whole company
- Write automated unit tests and end-to-end tests for your code and services. Quality is incredibly important to us and everybody is responsible for it
- Build UI with care especially on accessibility considerations

Simpplr develops purpose-built intranet systems that aim to provide simple communication within a workforce. The startup's intranet system stands out by using AI to analyse the activities of a digital workforce, using this information to offer a wide range of services. This includes alerting employees to critical top-down communications, keeping them socially connected and helping them find the documents that they are looking for.
Simpplr won the award for "best mid-size company to work" from Built In 2023, signifying a US workplace culture that goes above and beyond. It also saw a refreshing of its leadership team in 2022, adding industry leader Parag Kulkarni as CTO and former CMO of award-winning Netbase Quid, Paige Leidig, as its Chief Marketing Officer.
