Who you are
- You have 10+ years in revenue leadership roles that successfully created an inside sales model, fueled by marketing or product-based lead gen engine
- You’ve built a sales culture that is both high-performing and consistent and you are in the details with your team
- You have experience with targeting the right customers and value proposition for brand new products
- You have a history of working with peers in the marketing, partnerships, product, and support to find durable paths to successful and profitable customers
- You are a genuine, empathetic, humble, and mission-driven team player

- You’re a student of sales and are comfortable selling alongside your team
What the job involves
- Zapier is looking for an experienced Sales and Customer Success leader to take its product-led growth B2B sales model and scale it
- The VP of Sales and Success is growing Zapier by creating and executing the strategy for low-touch and high-touch sales and success motions
- This executive role will report to Zapier’s CEO, Wade Foster, and work cross-functionally with our Product, GTM, and Ops leadership teams
- Zapier is a fast-growing and remote-first company and we need strong leadership to help us define the next chapter
- Create a repeatable sales and customer success process leveraging Zapier’s product-led growth model to grow new business and expand existing accounts
- Develop, experiment, and optimize the method for landing and expanding customer accounts
- Identify the right value proposition, customer, and price to sell our newest products as we expand upmarket
- Help customers identify more ways to use Zapier and expand their usage of Zapier—growing revenue in the process
- Lead the company’s efforts in selling our horizontal products across multiple company segments as well as customer profiles. (i.e., SMB to large organizations)
- Work with Marketing, Ops, and Product to create demand and solutions for senior level stakeholders to drive revenue growth of our Enterprise SKU
- Act as the executive sponsor for Zapier’s journey upmarket
- Hire, mentor, and lead a world class sales and customer success team
- Lead the development of annual sales and customer success planning including budgeting and hiring plans

Even before remote working became the "in thing", freelancers, small business owners, and large organisations have found themselves needing more and more software platforms to serve their operational needs. As people used more software services, Zapier founders saw the need to connect the actions between these software and save everyone some time.
Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since its founding, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator and has also been a pioneer of remote working.
Zapier has so far been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as one of the first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong position for growth, but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
