Role
Who you are
- A product-oriented engineer with a passion for listening to and delighting customers
- Strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience working on full stack codebases
- Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale
- Expertise in Ruby and Rails or Python
- Software design experience with architectures that have scaled from the simple to the complex
- Someone excited to make progress and hold a high degree of responsibility
- A kind person

- Monitoring and observability expertise
- Experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Relevant Data Visualization / financial product experience
What the job involves
- You will work with a tight team of product engineers who are responsible for shipping features across the Vantage product. This includes the core reporting experience, new provider integrations and onboarding/billing. The team is fast paced and is constantly shipping to production
- Work directly with our founders and collaborate on feature discovery, ideation and delivery
- Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed code
- Drive technical architecture decisions to set the groundwork as Vantage scales into the future
- Own end-to-end feature development - including measuring and reporting on customer impact
- Join Design and Product on customer calls to understand user needs
- Our Tech Stack: Ruby on Rails (7. x), Temporal, Serverless Typescript, Large scale data pipelines and storage, Clickhouse, Docker, Terraform, All of the usual AWS services

However, we are now in the cloud era, and demand for its services is higher than ever which has created an opening for startups to create their own innovative solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of organizations.
Leveraging this opportunity in the market is Vantage, a New York City startup that is helping businesses better understand their cloud infrastructure spending. Born out of the idea to build a better AWS dashboard, Vantage now supports users on a number of service providers, allowing them to track and save their cloud costs all in one place.
Vantage has seen a recent influx of large enterprise users, along with the success of a recent funding round, laying the foundations for a better service for its growing customer base. Viewing the growth of its customer base as a challenge, Vantage is looking to step things up and plans to capitalize on this opportunity to grow its name even further with a series of product launches in 2023.
