The challenges faced by migrants arriving in the U.S. are enormous, and one of the largest examples is the financial hurdles they face. Opening bank accounts, making international phone calls, and accessing payment systems are essential but complex processes, and these challenges are accentuated by increased costs for migrants.
MAJORITY provides a mobile banking service specifically targeted toward helping migrants set up their financial systems in the U.S. The service runs on a monthly subscription fee, giving customers access to fee-free bank accounts with overdrafts, debit cards, and international phone call plans. The service also provides customer service in the user’s native language to help aid in the user experience.
With over 1 million people migrating to the U.S. every year, MAJORITY has tapped into a huge market by recognizing the stresses of financial security upon arrival. Its focus has attracted substantial investment that will expand and enhance Majority's services. By providing easy-to-use services backed with native-language assistance, the startup presents a brighter future for migrants seeking financial solutions in the U.S.
