Role
Who you are
- 6+ months of experience in a sales development/business development role that includes outbound/prospecting
- Formal sales training experience (tech SaaS or Chemical industry) is preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
- Proficiency in quality lead sourcing via Sales Navigator or similar platform
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and mission focused environment
- Motivated, self-starter with a bias for action
- Someone who values both individual achievement and team success
- Adaptable and creative when it comes to problem solving
- Proven record of business development in the Enterprise business space
- Eloquent and ready to speak confidently to C-level contacts at some of the largest companies
What the job involves
- We’re hiring a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join the team. The SDR will play a crucial role in building the sales pipeline for Knowde. They will work with our Account Executives and Marketing Team to identify, nurture, and build relationships with prospective customers in the world's largest chemical companies.
- This includes but is not limited to: identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, qualifying leads, and nurturing future customers. It’s truly a unique opportunity for someone who wants to accelerate their sales career while making an outsized impact
- Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop prospecting plans with the overall goal to create pipeline opportunities
- Be the face of Knowde to chemical companies that are digitally transforming how they do business
- Prospect in to key accounts using LinkedIn and Zoominfo to find and connect with the best contacts
- Become a product expert and learn Knowde's value propositions and sales process
- Keep meticulous records of interactions with leads in our CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Identify areas of SDR process improvements and strategize with leadership to implement them
- Manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize workload within the team to ensure that project timelines are met
- Work across the sales and marketing departments to roll out new initiatives

Knowde makes it easy to search for goods, compare products between sellers, and buy online with minimal fees and maximum convenience.
The company's founders have a background in chemicals and programming, and Knowde perfectly combines these two fields. Having previously worked for another chemicals marketplace, Chempoint, Knowde's CEO launched the business with a view to creating the chemical industry's first true online marketplace - the go-to online store for multiple verticals including food, pharmaceuticals, and household & industrial chemicals.
Across the world, trillions of dollars worth of chemical transactions are happening every year, and Knowde makes its money by taking just a small percentage of these transactions. Over 8000 suppliers currently sell goods on Knowde, showcasing that it has played a major part in the digitization of the industry so far, and there are thousands more potential clients on the market, giving the company vital space to grow.
