Role
Who you are
- Awareness of Linux OS based environments
- Knowledge of deploying/maintaining VMs in a VMware ESXI environment
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking – firewalls and routers
- Awareness or knowledge of AWS technologies and deployment models
- Good customer-facing and communication skills, both written and oral
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow documented technical processes and instructions
- Operate comfortably with internal and external project stakeholders
- Team player and willing to work flexible hours
- IT-based degree level qualification or equivalent work experience
- Proficient troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of telephony technologies and supporting telephony, PBX and SBC systems
- Working level knowledge within Linux server Infrastructure (VMWare, VSphere & managing ESXI platforms)
- Basic knowledge in Web Technologies including HTML, JavaScript, Ajax and Web Services SOAP (XML) & working knowledge of Restful API’s
- Base understanding of Payment Service Provider (PSP’s) integration and interaction in the transaction of credit/debit card payments
- Basic understanding of databases in particular querying and executing MySQL queries
- Knowledge of security best practices, Firewalls, IPS, IDS, encryption, access control, authentication mechanisms, PKI and Certificates
- Some experience with 3rd-line support services in a software/ telecommunications environment
- Good understanding and disciplinary in defect management and project management processes
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be a key technical resource to the Customer Delivery Group, working closely with the Project team, immersed in the project lifecycle and the deployment of Sycurio hosted solutions for new and existing customers
- Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders on the deployment of Sycurio software solutions for new and existing customer projects
- Assist the Deployment Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical faults/issues with payment and telephony integrations during the deployment lifecycle
- Follow approved procedures with regard to change control and documentation standards
- Managing workloads, ensuring deployment tickets are in adherence with correct working project practices
- Support the team in refining processes and streamlining procedures
- Validating the accuracy and efficiency of technical information contained within Sycurio’s knowledgebases
