Role
Who you are
- Data driven mindset with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
- A proven track record of demonstrated leadership in complex areas, through critical thinking, thought leadership, technical skills, and relentless drive for progress
- 7+ years of relevant experience in software development, data science, or data analytics
- 4+ years of experience in pricing, marketing, product and risk analytics would be highly valued
- Experience with experimental design, A/B testing, statistical inference/causal analysis is highly preferred
- Deep understanding of predictive modeling process from data exploration, methodology (statistical models, unsupervised and supervised ML models) to model validation, deployment and performance monitoring
- Professional experience with a programming language such as R or Python, and advanced SQL, Excel, and visualization tools such as Tableau/Looker
- Experience with data science modeling toolsets such as Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbal and written, to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience working for a rapidly growing startup, and managing change
Desirable
- While not a hard requirement, experience with crypto based products and services is a plus
What the job involves
- CoinFlip is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to drive strategic decisions and improve our services/products
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
- Utilize machine learning algorithms to build and optimize models for various business applications
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the impact of changes and improvements
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques and tools to continuously improve our data capabilities

Believing in the benefits of briging cryptocurrency to a broader audience, CoinFlip has been providing a network of Bitcoin ATMs since 2015, with over 4,000 now located across the US and Canada.
Since its inception the company has stood out among competitors with its low fees, up to 30% lower than its larger rivals General Bytes and Genesis Coin. However, the company's vision reaches beyond just providing kiosks, with the recent introduction of Olliv, a self-custodial wallet aimed at simplifying crypto and allowing easy onboarding into the crypto economy.
The importance of this step for CoinFlip's mission cannot be understated - by giving new users the tools needed to engage with crypto it also increases adoption and therefore the need for real world withdrawals of cryptocurrency through its ATM network. Going forward CoinFlip's two-pronged approach here may well see it leap over the competition and forge a commanding lead in its market.
