Role
Who you are
- You are a penultimate or final year student from a Bachelors or Masters degree potentially in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, STEM or Economics/Business/Finance. However, a degree in a technical field is not a must as our selection process prioritises your skills
- You are able to start a 10 weeks internship from 24 June
- You enjoy using numbers and data visualisation to tell a story
- You used coding to solve problems before (preferably SQL, Python or R). That could be during your studies or as part of a personal project you’re passionate about
- You’re curious, keen to learn and proactive by nature
- You’re open to and value feedback in order to improve
- Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to know everything!
- Eligible to work in the UK without any sponsorship and available to work in our local London office at least twice per week to support your development
What the job involves
- As part of our team, you will contribute with data-driven insights to help us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere
- As an Analytics Intern, you’ll join our Analytics team in the summer for 10 weeks in the summer (24th June - 30th August 2025). You’ll be onboarded with the global internship cohort in one of our offices and learn the basics of being a Wiser, as well as understand how analytics work here
- During this time, you will work on 1-2 Analytical projects and use them to propose your own ideas to take your team further, doing what’s best for our customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally to shape and build our product
- Carry out data analysis using various statistical methods and tools to helps us prioritise the most significant changes. All with the help of other senior analysts that will support you during your journey
- Collaborate with other stakeholders in the team and have the opportunity to share your ideas, working on projects that will be the most impactful for our customers

Our take
Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.
Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.
The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
