What the job involves
- We are looking for a Tax Solutions Manager to serve as the technical tax authority for our go-to-market teams
- This strategic role combines deep tax expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, partnering closely with our sales and activation teams to build confidence with enterprise customers from initial engagement through implementation
- Serve as the primary tax subject matter expert in customer-facing communications during enterprise sales cycles, participating in discovery calls and technical deep dives
- Build credibility and trust with our customers' tax teams by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their compliance challenges across US sales tax and international VAT
- Support the sales & activation teams by preparing responses to customer inquiries with detailed tax compliance capabilities and implementation approaches
- Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to develop tax-centric value propositions for enterprise opportunities
- Train sales and activation teams on tax concepts, regulatory updates, and competitive positioning
- What does a typical week look like?
- Phone calls with prospects and customers to walk through Anrok’s tax technical specifications
- Work with GTM teams on emails, Slack responses, and presentations in response to customer tax inquiries and requests
- Work with Activation teams on streamlining onboarding processes to get customers efficiently and accurately onboarded
- Support the core tax team with product development, tax research, and general support
- Stay current on legislative changes, including state economic nexus thresholds, product taxability laws, and international developments like e-invoicing mandates
Our take
Software is becoming an increasingly taxable enterprise, in increasingly nuanced and jurisdiction-specific ways thanks to new rulings in the late 2010s. SaaS companies need to keep track of both their physical and economic nexuses, leaving many companies scrambling to stay compliant. Anrok has developed a simple API-based solution to help companies get there.
Anrok's no-code, out-of-the-box tool helps businesses easily calculate sales tax monitoring, calculation, and remittance wherever their product is used, and easily identify new exposures. It’s a simple solution to a complex problem, and the result for Anrok has been impressive funding and strong growth in the short few years it’s been in operation.
This will in part be thanks to the company’s astute pricing model: much like SaaS businesses themselves, it’s based on demand. This makes it scaleable enough to encompass both smaller and enterprise SaaS clients. This, in turn, means Anrok’s addressable market within the SaaS sector is substantial. And that’s a sector that in itself is continuing to see remarkable growth. All this makes it a promising, and as of yet fairly unchallenged, position that Anrok is carving out.
