Who you are

We are seeking someone with a proactive, hunter mentality in sales
3+ years of B2B Sales, Account Management or Business Development experience with a successful track record of growth
Background in engineering, comfortable with solution selling
Ability and motivation to maximise the potential of the assigned territory
Motivation to help others succeed and to find solutions to their obstacles
Preferably, an understanding of LCA/EPD and their importance in the construction/manufacturing industry
Fast learning skills and a desire to improve constantly, using what works
Customer- and results-oriented attitude and a hands-on approach
Curious, with the ability to understand a client’s perspective
Full proficiency in English, fluency in other languages are beneficial

What the job involves

Join our team to drive the growth of a leading global SaaS in construction and manufacturing life-cycle assessment (LCA), amplifying both our business and positive climate impact
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team, working to decarbonise buildings and construction, currently responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions
We are close to doubling our business each year, meaning you will play a pivotal part in making this happen within the Manufacturing sector
Join us to help grow a business that plays a key role in delivering a zero-carbon future for us all
You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and understanding customer needs to help them find solutions that ensure their success with our software
This is partially an outbound sales role, focused on engaging with both existing and potential customers to expand our market presence
In this role, you will primarily be working with manufacturing companies in North America
Hunt and close strategic new business sales in ARR
Be part of expanding the offering of EPD tools in the Manufacturing sector
Perform outbound prospecting to generate min 3 x pipeline target coverage
Keep up to date on developments around LCA and EPD standards, PCRs and practices
Educate prospects on the value and opportunities of LCA tools, EPD and low-carbon construction
Support our LCA software product development where needed
Attend industry events around the North American region when necessary

The total commercial and residential building floor area is expected to double in the next 40 years, contributing to 230 gigatons of embodied carbon. One Click LCA recognises the urgent need to scale up efforts to decarbonise these sectors, so supplies a Life Cycle Assessment platform for the entire construction value chain.

Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) apply scientific methodology to measure the environmental impact and sustainability metrics for projects and products, but can often be complex to complete. Through One Click LCA's platform, however, users can easily run LCAs, and subsequently report and make efforts to reduce their carbon emissions.

Put simply, the company's tech supports the calculation and reduction of environmental impacts associated with building, infrastructure, renovation projects, and manufactured products. Recent funding will help boost research and development, accelerate enterprise solutions delivery, support global expansion, and enable mergers and acquisitions across the construction and manufacturing verticals.
