Role
Who you are
- 2-3 years experience in crypto project in business development or growth roles
- Experience with sales and lead generation strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels within an organization
- You are a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity
- You have a track record of successfully selling complex solutions
- Understanding and experience interacting with defi protocols is a plus
- Experience with hubspot is a plus
What the job involves
- As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential partners, developing strategic relationships, and supporting sales efforts
- You’ll work closely with internal teams to create compelling proposals, represent Agoric at industry events, and help refine our go-to-market strategies
- Your work will directly contribute to the expansion of Agoric’s developer and partner network, fostering a vibrant and sustainable blockchain ecosystem
- Market Research & Analysis: Identify and evaluate potential markets, trends, and partnership opportunities within the crypto and the fintech spaces
- Outreach & Relationship Building: Engage with prospective partners and stakeholders partnerships
- Sales Support: Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and sales materials tailored to potential partners' needs
- Event Participation: Represent Agoric at cryptoevents, meetups, and conferences to network and promote our offerings
- Cross functional: Collaborate with product, devrel and marketing for client engagement and technical demonstrations
- Data Tracking: Maintain and update CRM (Hubspot) tools to track leads, interactions, and deal progress effectively
Our take
While JavaScript is popular among mainstream developers, its use in decentralized applications (dApps) is somewhat limited. Agoric is hoping to bridge the divide, by developing a secure, blockchain-agnostic programming language based on JavaScript. The company is providing a safe and stable environment for developers to build DeFi markets, NFTs, and dApps.
With over 14M developers in the JavaScript community, Agoric is bringing DeFi to an overlooked community and helping the community reach its full potential. Further setting itself apart from competitors, Agoric is dedicated to saving developers valuable time by providing pre-built smart contract components and dApps that allow DeFi to be built and deployed at an accelerated rate.
After raising capital from multiple investors and public token sales, Agoric plans to carry on building its platform and further grow its team of talent. The company expects to be one of the most utilized blockchain platforms in the coming years, all thanks to its combination of unique features and accessibility for developers.
