Role
Who you are
- Bring your proven track record of aggressively pursuing and accelerating opportunities, coupled with a deep understanding of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) – AWS, GCP, and Azure; as well as the channel partner (SI, reseller, VAR) ecosystem
- At least 2 years of quota carrying experience
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and influencing deals in the channel ecosystem with Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong network within the Partner ecosystem
- Ability to work directly with field sales teams to ensure a continuous flow of leads and active deal acceleration through CSPs and channel programs
- Deliver accurate and timely weekly and quarterly forecasts, showcasing a clear understanding of revenue impact
- Executive presence: Collaborate closely with regional sales leaders and sellers to drive pipe generation, deal velocity, and closure
- Embrace a quota-based role with a willingness to travel 30%-50%, including regular visits to onsite cloud provider offices
- Team player attitude with a commitment to go the extra mile

What the job involves
- We are looking for a tenacious and results-driven Partner Sales Specialist to spearhead our partner business across our North America Corporate team
- You will leverage your expertise in selling to help bring the world’s fastest database to market through our partners
- Hunt relentlessly for new cloud revenue opportunities through partnerships partnerships, driving pipeline generation and deal acceleration
- Prospect, identify, pursue, and close strategic deals with partners
- Plan and participate in regional events, generating leads and increasing pipe conversion with Cloud, reseller, and SI partners
- Foster strong relationships with all regional partners, and enable the region on the unique value proposition of Redis solutions
- Own all things partner related for your region
- Partner with all regional directors in region to ensure tight sales alignment
- Create and execute comprehensive joint business plans for the region, including GTM strategies with cloud/reseller/and ecosystem partners
- Conduct on-site visits to cloud provider offices for account planning and technical enablement sessions
- This is a Hybrid role (3 days in office weekly) out of our Austin, TX or Chicago, IL offices
Our take
Businesses have increasingly been taking advantage of AI systems to process the vast amont of data they hold and produce, but the rapidity and sheer volume of AI data requests puts a significant load on company infrastructure. Redis, a database-as-a-service provider, exists to ease this strain, managing databases for business-critical applications with its cloud-based data platform.
This isn't a new industry and Redis faces competition from mainstays of the sector such as Oracle and Microsoft. However Redis stands out with its speed, cutting the database response time to less than a millisecond, easily outstripping its competitors. Founded in 2011, it is now the most popular database on AWS and is used by around 25% of professional developers. It counts Microsoft, Plaid, FedEx and many other enterprise companies as customers.
Redis plans to expand into emerging markets and sees the adoption of cloud-native systems by the world's biggest companies as inevitable. It has forged partnerships with Amazon and Google and is growing through acquisition, for instance in its 2022 purchase of RESP.app which served part of its growing ecosystem.
