Role
Who you are
- Current enrolment in a relevant degree program (e.g. English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism) or recent graduate
- Excellent writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with digital communications tools and platforms, ideally website CMS and Mailchimp
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools is a plus
- Enthusiasm for climate finance and corporate transition initiatives
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Your availability: Full time ideally
What the job involves
- As a Communications Intern, you will play a vital role in amplifying our message and supporting our communications initiatives
- This is a unique opportunity to make a direct contribution to climate action and be part of a team of committed experts
- Writing, copy editing, proofing Arc content and materials, including website articles, social media posts, newsletter, emails, reports and other materials
- Support in setting up and publishing articles on the website
- Support in setting up and sending out Mailchimp campaigns
- Support in creating assets from existing templates for digital communications
- Support on social listening/ monitoring mentions of Arc
- Supporting on regular comms and engagement impact reporting and analytics
- Supporting the team in using brand templates, including Word and PPT
- Supporting the delivery of events, through event administration such as list and document management, the design of assets and PPT decks
- Providing CRM management support for strategic engagement
- Providing project management and administration support to communications and engagement workstreams
- Working with external agencies to deliver on the above
- And various other tasks as they arise!

- We are looking for candidates to start in August 2024, for a period of 6 months

In the face of increasing concern for climate change and the activities that contribute to it, Climate Arc was founded to focus on creating tools and partnerships to decarbonise the economy - including rankings for companies' climate transition plans.
Ultimately, Climate Arcs aims to channel philanthropic funding to NGOs and projects that are deemed to significantly contribute to to decarbonisation of the economy. The company, in consulting with other organisations, leverages a science-based approach and stands as an advocate for net-zero actions.
Climate Arc's credibility is further enhanced by the founder's long-time professional commitment to climate-focused investments and strategy, as well as an association with the Children's Investment Fund Foundation. Nevertheless, it will take a few years before one can know how much of an impact Climate Arc will have in this space, but it certainly has a mountain of potential.
