Who you are
- The Sales Manager should have a strong history of leading top performing teams and exceeding quota
- Minimum of 2 years with B2C inside sales leadership experience,
- Minimum of 4 years in the telesales insurance industry, in a management role
- 2-5 years of management experience running a Final Expense telesales team
- Consistent track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment
- Excel at coaching sales teams on handling a complex sales process that may include multiple decision makers and influencers
- Strong working knowledge of CRM software – preferably Salesforce
What the job involves
- Ethos is looking for an experienced Sales Manager, Final Expense to join and lead a team in our growing Consumer Sales organization
- The individual will be responsible for managing 10-15 Life Insurance Agents in a fully remote setting
- Lead a fully remote team of 10-15 licensed Life Insurance Agents, responsible for ensuring team hits and exceed monthly targets
- Coach, train, and mentor Agents to hit and exceed personal sales targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basi
- Improve sales agent retention and loyalty through consistent, thoughtful, and data driven management
- Excellent at leading teams through change in a hyper-growth environment. Grow and develop a sales culture with a focus towards a high performance mindset
- Obsessed about our sales team’s employee satisfaction, leads a team passionate about positivity and continual improvement, is not afraid to set big goals, and has the leadership skills to align focus to achieve them
- Ability to create and foster a dynamic and growth oriented team environment virtually
- Be an effective partner with other internal teams such as billing, operations, finance, product, marketing, and more

Ethos was founded to increase the transparency of life insurance, making it accessible and affordable to all. The company want to add openness to the process; losing a loved one is hard enough before one even considers financial implications, particularly with the loss of a primary earner.
Ethos uses predictive technology to rapidly quote life insurance rates and verify an applicant’s medical information. This expedited process allows most users to secure life cover on the same day they apply, a process which normally takes a number of weeks. The company works with some of the biggest providers in the industry, including Legal & General America, AAA Life and Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.
Ethos has been one of the more heavily publicised of the recent wave of insurtech companies, with investors such as Google as well as celebrities Will Smith and Jay Z, taking its valuation to over $2 billion. However, the sector is being hit particularly hard by macroeconomic uncertainty and Ethos conducted several rounds of layoffs through 2022 and early 2023. Now focused on its core product and revenue growth, it is poised to extend its market leading position.
