Role
Who you are
- Part Qualified Accountant and working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
- Professional approach and the ability to manipulate data and present financial information accurately and in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in Technology or related sector would be an advantage
- Experience using Salesforce platform would be a plus
- Ability to work independently using their own initiative or as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Numerate and analytical combined with excellent communication skills
- IT literacy including experience of using accounting and manufacturing information systems along with good Excel skills
- Enthusiasm, motivation and a 'can do' attitude
- Drive to continually look to improve processes and management information
What the job involves
- Lendscape has an exciting opening for a part-qualified accountant. The role will be a key member of the team in this fast-growing business and will work with the rest of the finance team and the wider business to ensure effective financial control and timely and accurate reporting
- You will need to embrace and help drive change as the business looks to improve systems and processes and have a positive can-do attitude. You’ll be joining a small, motivated finance team that is passionate about providing great support to the business and helping to drive it forward
- The company will support you through completing your accountancy qualifications and offers excellent career progression as the business continues to grow
- Revenue management, Billing, and Credit Control:
- Take full ownership of billing processes covering professional services, recurring charges, and support on enhancements to ensure billing accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and manage monthly debtor reports and participate in debtor meetings
- Utilise Salesforce and Certinia effectively to oversee financial operations, maintaining accurate and current financial data, and reviewing sales opportunities and projects to ensure alignment with commercial agreements
- Create and manage projects in Certinia, establishing milestones to monitor project progress and accurately recognise revenue
- Export, review, and upload timecards to appropriate projects in Certinia, ensuring precise allocation against milestones
- Reconcile accrued and deferred income to trial balance
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Relationship Managers to promptly resolve financial discrepancies
- Professionally address and resolve client queries and invoice disputes
- Cash Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily cash flow report
- Manage bank journals and perform reconciliations across all bank accounts
- Provide support to accounts payable processes as needed
- Other Duties:
- Support the finance team and wider business with the implementation of new systems and processes
- Contribute to the annual audit process, ensuring smooth operations
- Undertake ad-hoc finance-related duties as required
