Role
Who you are
- You have + 3 years of relevant experience in the development (frontend + backend) of web applications
- You have experience with Python, ideally in the context of designing or interacting with APIs as well as integration with 3rd party systems
- You have already worked with SQL databases for data modeling and writing queries
- You have experience with one of the following modern JavaScript frameworks: Vue, React or Angular
- You are a teamplayer and passionate about working with talented and inspiring people
What the job involves
- As Senior Fullstack Engineer (f/m/d) you enhance our diverse engineering squad with your expertise. Together, you drive the scaling of our products and have an impact on our users, our organization, and our engineering practices
- You are part of a cross-functional team (backend, frontend and devops developers, design and product manager) and develop user-friendly applications which bring effective customer value
- You conceptualize and develop professional backend and frontend solutions to continuously evolve envelio's core products in an agile working environment
- You design and interact with APIs, both in external interaction as well as communication with the product’s frontend
- You develop strategic pathways for evolving the product's tech stack to state of the art solutions
- You have ambitious quality objectives and accompany the entire development process, from concept over implementation through testing to go-live
- Our Tech Stack: Python, incl. additional packages/frameworks e.g. FastAPI, Pytest and Celery, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Vue.js, Pinia, PrimeVue, TypeScript, TailwindCss
Our take
As the world transitions to sustainable energy, millions of new wind energy systems are being integrated into power grids. As well as the number of new consumer solutions, such as electric charging stations is also rapidly increasing, and the integration of these new systems is putting a strain on distribution grids.
Envelio is a cloud-based smart grid platform providing a solution to this challenge. The Cologne-based company has developed the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP), a software assistance system that transforms power grids into digital, flexible interactive smart grids. Through IGP grid operation management can be carried out digitally at a quicker, more cost-effective pace.
Born out of the Institute of High Voltage Technology at the RWTH Aachen, Envelio has since grown a steady customer base for itself and expanded on an international scale. Recognised as a clean-tech software company, Envelio is driving the change to sustainable energy.
