Role
Who you are
- This is not a role for someone who waits for assignments. We need a builder: someone who lives and breathes modern marketing, works cross-functionally, and owns the end-to-end creation and distribution of content that makes people think, share, and take action
- At least 3 years content development and strategy experience in the field of technology, programming, tech recruiting, and/or the future of work
- A rich portfolio of digital work, spanning large reports, white papers, corporate blogs, news/media commentary, webinars, speaking engagements, and more
- Exceptional editorial judgment and a knack for finding and elevating a story
- Experience building a brand voice and holding standards across the company
- Project management experience required
- [Bonus] Experience with data visualization tools a plus

- [Bonus] Experience designing and/or leading training programs on technical topics a plus
- You create modern content pieces - no boring webinars or keynotes

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a strategic storyteller and high-output content leader to elevate our voice in the AI conversation and build cultural relevance around our brand. You’ll shape and execute a bold content vision—crafting narrative arcs that span from manifestos to billboards, from Sunday podcasts to weekly blogs—and ensure that our thought leadership breaks through the noise
- Amplify our next-gen hiring and upskilling message through landing pages, videos, and presentations
- Define an inspiring content strategy: What we say, where we say it, and why it matters
- Own the weekly “This Week in AI” podcast/video series, from content planning to production
- Own distribution across channels—working closely with social, growth, and influencers to amplify reach and resonance
- Partner with the social and growth teams to align content goals with acquisition and awareness priorities
Our take
Recruiting high quality engineers is a difficult process dominated by uncertainty. Quantifying the skills a candidate should have and then measuring them takes valuable time away from existing employees. HackerRank mitigates this by providing a platform for companies to hire and engineers with the right skills for them, facilitating a more efficient hiring process.
To increase the consistency of technical assessments they provide online coding tests and a platform for running technical screen interviews. These tools decrease the time to hire and help interviewers spot candidates whose CVs may have been overlooked. The platform has seen significant success, and major customers include Goldman Sachs, Wish and Snap.
Over the last few years, HackerRank has released an AI-powered insights product that delivers personalised recommendations on a companies hiring process to help them hire better, as well as a plagiarism detection tool to increase fairness in developer hiring. Impressive 2022 funding secured also means the company can continue to focus on accelerating the drive for technical hiring.
