What the job involves
- We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Talent Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in driving our casual (Support Team) recruitment process. Based in London, this position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multiple aspects of HR, from recruitment to onboarding, while contributing to the success of a global organisation
- As a Talent Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our recruitment efforts, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for both candidates and the hiring team; coordinating Assessment Days, maintaining candidate trackers, supporting onboarding, and collaborating with stakeholders
- Partner with Employment4All, GetSetUK, universities, and other recruitment platforms to attract candidates
- Assist in creating compelling job advertisements and posting them on a variety of platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, university portals)
- Review applications and collaborate with hiring teams to identify and shortlist high-potential candidates
- Schedule and organise Assessment Days for Support Team recruitment, ensuring all logistics are well-planned
- Coordinate the running of Assessment Days, including setting up presentations and materials
- Act as the main point of contact for candidates during the assessment process
- Facilitate interviews and activities in partnership with hiring teams to ensure a smooth and efficient candidate experience
- Manage onboarding documentation, including Right-to-Work checks and other pre-employment requirements
- Input and maintain accurate candidate information in recruitment and HR systems
- Support candidates with onboarding queries and processes
- Maintain and update tracking tools, ensuring they accurately reflect the current status of candidates (e.g., candidates in the offer stage, onboarding progress, etc.)
- Assist with GDPR audits and ensure compliance with data protection regulations for all candidate records
- Responsible for ensuring that all relevant systems and processes are kept up to date
- Liaise with hiring teams to understand and update staffing on a monthly basis, ensuring alignment with operational needs
- Support hiring teams in forecasting and communicating their hiring needs to meet business demands
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance recruitment processes

Convene provides co-working space and meeting locations inside office buildings. It was founded to change the way people meet and work, and also to revolutionise how office buildings offered hospitality services to tenants.
Convene's revenue decreased by over 60% in 2020, after the pandemic disrupted its in-person events. In response to this, the company has diversified into the video meetings market. It hosts virtual and hybrid events that more closely resemble the feeling of attending a live business conference. Users can attend the conferences online and interact with the speakers, the hosts, and other attendees in private video chats.
Convene has done well to navigate the macro challenges and reinvent itself, but there will be more challenges to come; Convene also operates in a market with big players, such as Zoom. However, in 2023, the company acquired etc.venues, widening Convene's net to the UK and establishing it as one of the largest premium and event venue companies in the US and UK with 38 locations across the two countries. The goal now is to generate a revenue of $100 million a year by 2025 and it hopes its virtual operations will form a larger percentage of this.
