Role
Who you are
- Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification)
- Experience in originating and progressing designs from concept through to detailed design, to a given set of requirements and constraints
- Good working knowledge solid mechanics, engineering materials, structural and thermal engineering
- Ability to perform design calculations from first principles
- Proven strong problem solving, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to write accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports

Desirable
- Providing innovative design solutions to meet challenging requirements, drawing from a mix of industry experience and the ability to produce novel designs
- Experience in working with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN13445
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and the ability to apply V&V techniques across different phases of product development
- Supervising less-experienced engineers and students, providing them with challenging projects, monitoring their progress and providing constructive feedback
- Or if you are chartered with a relevant professional institute (or approaching application for registration)

- You will work within small to medium sized multidisciplinary teams
- To benefit from the collective experience of the team, our clients, and drive innovative thinking, you’ll work in a collaborative and supportive office / site environment for a minimum of half of your working week
- You may also be based at client offices or plant sites. You will bring a level of commercial awareness to working within those teams to effectively deliver tasks for multiple workstreams and to deliver to time, quality, and cost
