- You have a relevant Master's degree
- You have 6 to 8 years of experience with HR, preferably as HR Lead, or strategy/organizational consultant
- Your experience in a start-up/scale-up environment is a pre
- You are ready to lead a team, and have a passion for technology and people
- You know how to manage projects, and thrive in an operational environment
- You understand Human Resource disciplines and have fundamental knowledge in employment law
- You speak fluent English and Dutch
What the job involves
- The People Operations team consists of 15 HR Business Partners and 20 people admins that take full responsibility for all HR processes and personal development & organizational challenges of everyone working in our operations (fulfilment, last mile and customer service)
- As the People Operations Team lead for the Netherlands, you’ll hold a key position ensure a robust, employee-centric and efficient HR operations
- Your focus lies on developing the team of HR BPs and Admins, ensuring our processes and systems are employee-friendly, efficient and compliant, shaping and further improving the employee journey across different fields in operations,s and designing development tracks for our talent
- You’ll combine your thought leadership in the area of people and HR with a solid understanding of the business
- Guide, develop and support the team of HR BPs by conducting check-ins and bi-annual reviews
- Align with internal stakeholders like the international analyst team, and people director, and manage external stakeholders like external payroll partners, occupational health service, or labour inspection
- Initiate and drive people-related initiatives, and implement proactive solutions
- Provide insightful data to guide decision-making, and ensure that the organization is structured to achieve business objectives
- Improve employee and team lead journeys (including staffing, onboarding, learning & development, and rotation processes)
- Manage talent to ensure the right people are in the right roles

The company's impressive funding - which has been heavily backed by the likes of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the sum of 1.4 billion euros in funding - has enabled Picnic to expand beyond The Netherlands into Germany, France, and further afield. Picnic is well set to see continued growth and expansion as it further disrupts the grocery delivery market.
