Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Manager with a strong background in healthcare data to support our team on a full-time basis
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Manager, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the healthcare industry
- Deep understanding of healthcare data, standards, and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with HIPAA
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation, with experience working on healthcare-related datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Metabase, BigQuery, or similar platforms, with a focus on healthcare analytics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in addressing the nuances of healthcare data
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with sensitivity to healthcare-specific implications
- Expertise in data visualization techniques and best practices, particularly for healthcare reporting and compliance
What the job involves
- In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, creating actionable insights, and managing our business intelligence tools
- Your experience with healthcare data standards and a keen understanding of the healthcare industry's unique challenges will be critical to driving informed business decisions
- Data Analysis: Analyze large, complex datasets, including data from EMRs, to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making
- SQL Development: Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, with a focus on healthcare-specific databases
- Business Intelligence: Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and reports using Metabase (or similar tools), ensuring data visualization aligns with healthcare industry needs
- Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, finance, marketing, and operations, to understand data requirements and provide meaningful analytical support.
- Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, security, and compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Training: Provide training to team members on data interpretation and effective use of business intelligence tools, tailored to the healthcare context
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Create custom reports and analyses to address specific business needs and initiatives
