Who you are
- You have 8-10 years experience in HR with at least 3-5 years as a People Business Partner, with at least 3 years working in a high-growth tech company
- You have a proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR, including employment law & compliance requirements
- You have a proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues, including making recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues
- You have the ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured environment
- You are a team player who acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- You have strong ethics, demonstrated discretion, and sound judgment while working with sensitive and confidential information
- You have a proactive attitude with a desire to continuously learn and grow while helping others do the same
- You are a strong communicator with the ability to drive organizational change through partnership with People & leadership teams
- You are obsessed with retention by way of creating sustainable, scalable organizations with best in class coaching, leadership, and career mobility

- You have the ability to analyze and interpret data, using it to help business leaders better understand workforce needs and incorporate results into workforce strategy and planning

What the job involves
- The Global People Team is made up of people professionals with a diverse range of expertise, including talent, people relations, performance achievement, and systems and analytics, amongst others
- In 2024 we’ll be focused on building robust People systems and processes that enable us to develop and scale our culture to deliver our strategic priorities and support exceptional performance across all global teams

- Reporting to the Associate Director, People Business Partnerships, you will partner directly with leadership to build a scalable organization while positively impacting the day-to-day experiences of our people
- This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the organization by driving people retention programs and providing guidance to leaders across the company
- In this role, you will cultivate strong performance and engagement, coach managers, enable clear team communication and feedback, and drive organizational plans that deliver on business goals
- You will develop trusted relationships with managers to create strategy and drive organizational change
- You will support managers through core People processes, such as annual compensation reviews, growth reviews, and our ongoing focus on managing performance
- You will provide training and mentorship to leadership in an ongoing effort to maintain a positive employee experience that offers challenging yet fulfilling work and a clear path for professional development
- You will help managers address performance issues early and – where necessary – navigate more complex employee relations matters that arise, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when needed
- You will evaluate and recommend changes surrounding performance management, employee relations, career/leadership development, compensation, and retention
- You will develop programs and processes supporting the learning, career growth, and mobility aspirations of employees
- You will analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- You will provide HR policy recommendations, guidance, and interpretation
- You will drive diversity practices to foster an inclusive, supportive environment
- You will provide strategic direction for the People Business Partner team

Our take
Manual research can be a serious pain: financial analysts spend hours every week searching through PDFs one keyword at a time, just to find a single usable insight. To remedy this, AlphaSense has built a smart search engine that slashes research time for analysts, using thousands of sources and a semantic indexing layer that can effectively query finance-specific language.
As a disruptor and market leader in this field, AlphaSense has few direct competitors, being most closely compared to Wolfram Alpha or LexisNexis. It helps that its tools are undoubtedly effective and valued by knowledge professionals: the company counts about 85% of the S&P 100 as customers and is trusted by J.P.Morgan, Microsoft, Credit Suisse and Google, among other major enterprises.
Having raised a large amount of funding over 2022 and 2023, AlphaSense has moved quickly to double down on its expansion in European markets, opening an office in Berlin to support this. With 2024 seeing investment from Singaporean EDBI, it has now set its sights on the Asia-Pacific region. As business intelligence will remain key for enterprises as they compete for market share, AlphaSense is well-placed for additional future growth.
