- Given a big part of your role will be to capture Runna events and races, we’re looking for someone happy to travel and flex their hours to evenings and weekends when needed. In practice, we expect that this will mean you will likely start later some days and/or take your ‘weekend’ on a weekday to make this work. We’ll ensure you’re comfortable with hotels and travel arrangements when this is needed

- Proven Experience in Content Creation: You’ve previously created and managed compelling short-form video content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Your portfolio should showcase a strong ability to craft engaging stories and visuals that resonate with a wide audience
- Video Production Skills: You’re adept at both filming and editing high-quality video content. Whether it’s capturing live events, shooting for social media, or producing content for in-app use, you know how to bring a creative brief to life with technical excellence
- On-Camera Presence: You are comfortable being in front of the camera, as well as guiding others to feel the same. Your energy and personality shine through, making you a relatable and authentic face for our US presence
- Collaboration and Teamwork: You’ve worked closely with various teams—whether it’s social media teams, ambassadors, or external partners—to create cohesive and impactful content. You enjoy bringing people together to make creative ideas happen
- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple projects and ensuring smooth, efficient shoots is second nature to you. You’re skilled at planning and executing content days that maximize productivity and creativity
What the job involves
- In short, you’ll be planning, capturing and editing a range of video and photo content to bring the Runna brand to life
- This role will include being the face of our US presence across all socials, not only creating engaging content featuring yourself but creating a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere for the rest of the team to get involved
- You will work across a variety of areas, including documenting races and events, producing social content, shooting in-app material and working with our amazing ambassadors and coaches on shoot days
- This role not only includes capturing and editing the content but also taking ownership of the creative briefs
- As an associate in the social team, your role will be to support the Social Content Lead to deliver amazing results
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement with a specific focus on TikTok
- Create, curate, manage and publish short form content (IG Reels, YT shorts, TT)
- Be the face of our US presence on Runna socials
- Film new content & support in organizing User Generated Content (UCG)
- Capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video and photographic content based on briefs
- Attending events and races with the Runna team and take ownership of capturing the day
- Collaborating with our ambassador team to create exceptional social content on shoot days with our ambassadors
- Working with the UK Social Content Team to ensure a cohesive social strategy is maintained

Our take
As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has seen consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team. An acquisition by fitness giant Strava will help it on its way to achieving these aims.
