Who you are
- Proven track record of building and deploying customer-facing web applications
- Deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and proficiency with our technical stack
- Demonstrated ability to own features from conception through successful deployment
- Strong communication skills with experience in remote work environments
- Portfolio of relevant projects demonstrating technical capabilities (via GitHub, personal website, or equivalent)

What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing Higharc's Showroom product, our state-of-the-art 3D selection experience for home options, similar to a modern car configurator
- You will work across the entire technology stack to deliver powerful features that delight customers and streamline the selection process for homebuyers and builders
- Architect and implement comprehensive product features using our modern technology stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, PostgreSQL)
- Drive technical development of key platform components, including:
- Advanced 3D product configuration tools for our interactive Showroom experience
- Robust integration with backend systems to support seamless user interactions
- Project management and coordination features
- Collaborate closely with product managers, user experience designers, and customer experience teams to create intuitive and engaging solutions
- Establish and maintain high code quality standards through comprehensive testing
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development initiatives
Our take
The housing market is trending toward a recession, signaling the return to a buyers’ market. This should be great news for buyers, but the current housing shortage means most new builds lack customization, as reduced variability allows builders to anticipate and quickly execute new builds.
Higharc’s software automates and optimizes every step of the home building process, creating a fully customizable 3D model that is seamlessly translated into blueprints, resulting in better-built homes by eliminating material waste and costly errors, and saving consumers from cookie-cutter houses.
The all-in-one homebuilding platform raised additional funding in early 2024, with a strategic investment from Spark Capital. This addition will help the company further optimize its offerings and fuel its growth.
